The very Father of Evolution stated that
the Old Testament is a false history of the world. In all fairness to Darwin
he was not able to see the things
that would be uncovered in this generation. In light of current Archaeological
evidence I think he would be persuaded to retract his statements had he
lived to see what you can see now. There has been a vast amount of evidence
that validates the Old Testamant as being accurate yet thousands of people
continue to put their trust in Darwin's theories.
Should Archaeology
be Used to Prove the Bible?
There are several reasons
why it should be used for this specific purpose.
1. "I am tormented
in this flame" - Luke 16.
The Bible
clearly speaks of judgment for sins and a place called
hell. There is no such thing as "purgatory" or a "temporary
hell". Jesus said that hell is eternal - Mark 9
2. God issued the challenge himself.
"Let
the people be assembled: who among them can declare this,
and
shew us former things?
let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be
justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth. or
declare us things to come. that we may know that you are gods." Isaiah
43:9-41:22
3. Jesus said if "my disciples remain silent the very stones would cry
out" - Luke 19
Today, many of his disciples remain silent. Only 2% of Christians actually
share their faith with others and make a committment to witness to them.
